Sample EOS 5D Mark II Video: A Three Act Play

October 28, 2008

Look who’s aiming their latest toys at the wedding market… nice quality images but they really should have had a filmmaker shoot the motion pictures because the video is dull and pedestrian.  Still, well worth watching for a peek at what this camera can do and the avenues it can open up for photographer and videographers alike.

Red Scarlet & Epic

October 27, 2008

For those of you that have interest, we plan on releasing the specs and info about Scarlet and Epic on Thursday Nov. 13th. We value your opinion and have time to adjust our program given your feedback.

I am certain that everyone here will have some skepticism about the specs we release. Please know that we can hit our targets. What we need is constructive criticism on the announced system… not disbelief of the specs.

WordHustler

October 16, 2008

Anne Walls recently contacted me about her new service for writers, WordHustler. For more details click on the picture to visit their website or read her letter which I’ve copied and pasted below:

Anne Walls wrote:

Hi All-

I wanted to drop you a line to introduce myself and my company, WordHustler.com.

WordHustler.com is the first website to take care of the WHOLE process of writing and submitting work. With WordHustler, writers upload their projects, search markets they want to submit to, and voila! We print and ship everything for them. Our clients can send work to agents, publishers, contests, and publications. Our over 3,500 literary markets are all free, as is membership. It’s easy to track submissions using WordHustler’s organized tracking system and using us to send submissions costs less than writers doing it themselves. Most importantly, WordHustler saves writers time so they can do what they’re supposed to be doing: WRITING.

We’d love you to take a look: http://www.WordHustler.com. WordHustler helps writers get their screenplays out into the world. We’ve created a new, alternative way for screenwriters to get into the screenplay business without being sucked into predatory coverage services or costly writers’ traps.

WordHustler has hundreds of legitimate screenplay competitions in our database, which in our opinion is a great way to get some notice in Hollywood. Our database also has screenwriting fellowships and grants so that writers can be exposed to Nickelodeon’s writing program or the Warner Brothers screenwriting fellowship. Our blog, WordHustlerInk, features original and interesting articles about writing, including our recent interview with a screenplay judge, found here:

http://wordhustlerink.wordhustler.com/2008/08/26/interview-with-a-screenplay-judge-or-how-i-learned-to-love-the-entry-fee/

For writers who don’t live in Hollywood, getting scripts printed, copied, and shipped can be a major pain. We especially cater to International Writers who use us so they don’t have to deal with the pain and annoyance of International Shipping.

WordHustler makes it easier to send work out, hands-down. We also have innovative software that makes it possible to fill out entry forms online. All in all, we’re a great option for newbie and veteran writers alike. Since my partner John and I are both writers ourselves, we know what it’s like to try to break into the business. Anything that makes it easier is, as one of our clients said, “A Godsend for writers everywhere.”

I hope you enjoy exploring our site and if you have any questions, please let me know.

Best,
Anne Walls
